Ona Jonaityte, flute

Flutist Ona Jonaityte is recognized for her “exceptional talent, poise and drive, as well as technical achievement and the ability to communicate devotion to flute music through performance.”

Ona is an active chamber, orchestral musician, and pedagogue in the greater Boston area.

She is currently a principal flute with the Lexington Symphony Orchestra. Ona has also performed with the Boston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, New World Symphony, and Boston Lyric Opera Orchestra.

Since 2009, Ms. Jonaityte has taught and performed at Boston University Tanglewood Institute. She is a faculty member at the College of Holy Cross and a former president of the James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition in Boston.
